Privacy policy

Sidequest Studio runs a small private tool that makes short videos for its own plush-toy characters and publishes them on the studio's own social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook Pages and YouTube channels). The tool is used only by the studio; there are no other users and no sign-up. This website collects no personal data and uses no cookies or trackers.
What the tool accesses
- YouTube (Google): with the studio owner's permission, it uploads approved videos to the studio's own YouTube channels, reads those channels' basic information (to check it uploads to the right channel), reads the processing status of its own uploads, and may read view counts of its own videos. It does not access any other channel, any viewer's data, or anything else in the Google account.
- Instagram and Facebook (Meta): it publishes to, and reads post statistics from, the studio's own accounts and Pages.
What it stores
The access tokens for those accounts (on the studio's own server, never shown or shared), the videos, captions and titles it makes, and the statistics of its own posts. Nothing about other people is collected.
YouTube API Services
Sidequest Studio's publishing tool uses YouTube API Services to upload videos to the studio's own YouTube channels. By using it, the studio agrees to the YouTube Terms of Service, and the data the tool uses from YouTube is subject to the Google Privacy Policy. The tool uses YouTube data only to upload the studio's approved videos, to confirm they were processed, and to read basic statistics of those videos.
Sharing
Nothing is sold or shared. Content goes only to the platform it is published on. Use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing access and deleting data
Access can be removed at any time on the Google security settings page, security.google.com/settings/security/permissions (or myaccount.google.com/permissions), or in Meta's settings; the stored tokens then stop working. To have the stored tokens and any other stored data about an account deleted, email the address below: it is deleted within 7 days. Statistics read from YouTube are refreshed or deleted within 30 days, as YouTube's policies require.
